Canon EF-S 18-55 IS adalah lensa pertama yang kumiliki soalnya sudah paket sama kameranya jadi mau tak mau harus dipakai, lensa ini sangat mudah untuk digunakan bagi fotografer pemula, di sisi lensa ada tombol MF (manual fokus) dan AF (auto fokus) tinggal di geser saja sesuai keinginan pemakainya, selain itu lensa ini juga sudah ada Image Stabilizer fungsinya meredam getaran agar hasil foto tidak goyang (shake). Selama memakai lensa ini saya belum mengalami kendala, untuk foto rame" bisa tinggal dicrop saja hasilnya, zoom juga bisa tapi jaraknya standar saja, makro bisa diusahakan. Pokoknya lensa kit asyik lah.

Dry Box

Dry box ukuran kecil cocok untuk fotografer pemula, dapat menampung 1 buah body camera, 1 lens 70-300 mm, 1 lens 18-55 mm, 1 lens 50 mm, 1 Speedlite, Filter, batteray. Harga Rp. 70.000,- dapat diperoleh di Carrefour.

Mereknya Studiomix Arniss, cukup rapat, sehingga udara tidak masuk. Bisa ditambahkan karet agar lebih rapat lagi jika diinginkan.

Untuk melindungi lensa dan kamera saya tambahkan di dalam dry box satu buah silica gel electrik. Silica gel ini dapat diperoleh di Ace Hardware Harga Rp. 100.000,- untuk ukuran besar dan Rp.85.000,- untuk ukuran kecil.

Lebih mantap lagi jika anda menambahkan pengontrol suhu kelembapan Hygrometer, alat ini banyak dijual di toko alat" kesehatan dengan harga bervariasi Rp.50.000,- s/d Rp. 100.000,- , atau di pusat" perbelanjaan bagian kendaraan, suhu kelembapan yang biasa saya gunakan antara 40-60%, jadi jika sudah melebihi angka tersebut silica gel bisa kita charge kembali.

Canon 1000D

Dua tahun menggunakan kamera saku dan ilmu fotografi pun sedikit meningkat, rasanya sudah tak mampu lagi kamera pocketku memenuhi segala eksperimen fotografi yang biasa saya lakukan, intinya saya ingin ganti kameralah atau upgrade gear istilah kerennya. Kamera DSLR merupakan target selanjutnya karena melihat banyak forum yang membincangkan kemampuan kamera tersebut.

“kamera Digital Single Lens Reflex (Digital SLR atau DSLR) adalah kamera digital yang menggunakan sistem cermin otomatis dan pentaprisma atau pentamirror untuk meneruskan cahaya dari lensa menuju ke viewfinder.

Cara kerja DSLR adalah sebagai berikut: untuk tujuan melihat object, cermin akan memantulkan cahaya yang datang dari lensa menuju keatas dengan sudut sekitar 90 derajat. Kemudian cahaya dipantulkan oleha pentaprism ke mata fotografer. Selama proses pengambilan foto, cermin akan bergerak membuka keatas dan jendela rana membuka yang memungkinkan lensa memproyeksikan cahaya menuju ke sensor.

Perbedaan antara DSLR dengan Digicam adalah desain pantulan cahaya merupakan perbedaan mendasar anatar DSLR dan kamera digital pada umumnya, dimana kamera pada umumnya fungsi sensor untuk menangkap cahaya(gambar) dari lensa akan bekerja terus menerus dan diteruskan ke Liquid Crystal Display(LCD) atau elektronik viewfinder. Sedangkan pada DSLR gambar akan ditampilkan ke optical viewfinder hasil dari cahaya yang dipantulkan melalui cermin dan pentaprism. Dalam hal ini brarti pada kamera biasa sensor akan bekerja terus menerus untuk menampilkan gambar ke LCD atau elektronik viewfinder. Sedangkan pada DSLR sensor akan bekerja hanya pada saat pengambilan foto saja. Tetapi dewasa ini perkembangan live preview pada DSLR sudah memungkinkan seseorang untuk melihat objek foto melalui LCD, walau dengan beberapa batasan-batasan yang dimilikinya.

Karakter utama DSLR adalah :
1. Apa yang kita lihat adalah apa yang lensa lihat. "What You See Is What You Get".
2. Lensa dapat diganti-ganti sesuai dengan kebutuhan
3. Biasanya memiliki ukuran sensor yang besar yang akan menghasilkan gambar lebih baik.
4. Jeda waktu (lag time) jauh lebih singkat dibandingkan kamera biasa.”

Saatnya tiba Kamera DSLR merek Canon type 1000D menjadi pilihan saya mengingat harganya yang ekonomis dan fitur yang yang diberikan cocok untuk fotografer pemula.
